Museum

All material in the museum collection held by the Royal Western Australian Historical Society has relevance to Western Australia. It consists of objects that were owned in the main by Western Australians. The collection includes artworks, costume and costume accessories, furniture and furnishings, dolls and toys and a variety of other domestic items and ephemera that provide an insight into the social history of Western Australia.

The Museum catalogue is available on Collections Mosaic, but is not yet available on the internet.

A wide range of items from the museum collection form a fascinating display in the meeting room at Stirling House and can be viewed by members and the general public. The production and presentation of this display was made possible by a Lotterywest grant for exhibition showcases.

Below is just a glimpse at some of the items held in the Museum.
