After some initial jobs in the Wheatbelt, the couple successfully applied for group settlement in Group Settlement No. 32 in Ruabon near Busselton in the South West of Western Australia. After 27 years they sold the farm and moved to Bunbury. The book charts the challenges, triumphs and sorrows that they faced coming to a strange new land and raising their family.
