James Pullin was born in Tormarton in Gloucestershire in 1915 and migrated to Western Australia as a young man. When the Second World War began he enlisted in the 2/11th Battalion. This is an account of his involvement in numerous battles and of his time as a prisoner of war in Greece, Germany and Poland. In 1945 he returned to Western Australia where he took up a war service farm in the central wheat belt north of Kellerberrin.
